The bride -- Carolyn -- was born and raised in Saskatchewan, graduating from high school in Estevan, SK before moving to Edmonton, AB to attend the University of Alberta.

Proud parents, Jackie (retired nurse) and Bob (accountant/ manager), currently reside in St. Albert, AB. Carolyn's sister, Heather (nurse), her husband Dennis (teacher) and their son Ethan also live in St. Albert.

Carolyn recently joined the Government of Alberta as a Public Affairs Officer for the Seniors and Community Supports Ministry. Her career has seen her work in many areas of corporate communications, including Capital Health and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Carolyn is also working towards her Canadian Public Relations designation.

An active Rotarian, Carolyn served as President of her Rotary Club -- the Edmonton Urban Spirits Rotary Club -- from 2006-2007. The Urban Spirits Rotary Club is a club of young and dynamic professionals with most members in their 30s.

The bride is an avid curler (her mix team won their club's championships in spring 2006) and she absolutely treasures trips with her soon to be husband to Bonaparte Lake, BC.
